Manage all notifications

Select Manage all notifications from the user menu in the top bar to list every event you have subscribed to, across all projects, environments and assets. For how subscriptions and channels work, see notifications.

The notifications table

Each row is a project, environment or asset you hold at least one subscription for. Type in Search in notifications to filter the rows by resource name, path or event. If you hold no subscriptions, the table reads You have not subscribed to any events.

ColumnDescription
ResourceThe project, environment or asset, with its path and type. Select its name to open it, or the pencil button beside it to edit its subscriptions.
Change eventsThe change events you are subscribed to for the resource. See for a project, environment or asset.
Action eventsThe number of events you are subscribed to for each action of an asset. Select an entry to open the asset's Notifications tab with that action highlighted. See for a specific action.
Workflow run eventsThe workflow run events you are subscribed to for a project. See for a project.
Workflow eventsThe number of events you are subscribed to for each workflow in a project. Select an entry to open the project's workflows on their Notifications tab with that workflow highlighted. See for a specific workflow.
Properties eventsThe properties events you are subscribed to for the resource. See properties & settings.
Settings eventsThe settings events you are subscribed to for the resource. See properties & settings.

Editing a resource's subscriptions

The pencil button on a row opens the same Notification subscriptions dialog as the bell button on a project, environment or asset page. It has a tab for each kind of event:

TabEventsShown for
ChangeCreate, Start, Cancel, Success, ErrorProjects, environments and assets
PropertiesUpdateProjects, environments and assets
SettingsUpdateProjects, environments and assets
Workflow runsCreate, Start, Cancel, Success, ErrorProjects only

Tick the events you want to be notified of. On a project or environment, the Change, Properties and Settings tabs also have an Include checkbox - for example, Include change runs from environments and assets under this project - that extends the subscription to the resources beneath it. On an asset, the Change tab applies to every action of the asset; to subscribe to a single action, follow the action notifications link in the dialog.

Select Update to save the subscriptions for every tab, or Close to discard your changes. The table refreshes once they are saved.

Choosing where notifications are sent

Subscriptions say what you are notified of. Where the notifications go is set on the Notification preferences tab of My account, under Notification methods:

ChannelField
EmailThe address to email.
SlackYour Slack member ID, for example U12345678.
TeamsThe address you sign in to Microsoft Teams with, for example jane@example.com.

Tick each channel to use and select Save changes. A channel is used only once your administrator has configured a default channel of that kind - see user preferences. The tab also lists the LDAP groups you belong to, since notifications configured for those groups are sent to the same channels, and holds two browser settings: Enable browser notifications shows a desktop notification when a run you are watching completes, and Auto-watch active runs watches any change or workflow run you open while it is still running. Your browser asks for permission the first time you select Setup browser (requests permission).
